Memorial Day

We took little L on her first hike & first boat ride yesterday. We had such a great day with our families.

Such a beautiful hike with gram & the boys! Lilah was one happy girl on daddy's back

I love that she grabs your face when you hold her, going in for a kiss on mimi!

 Driving the boat with papa

She only stopped crying if dad fed her peach O's

She cuddled and fell asleep with dad most the day while mom laid in the sun

Peek-a-boo!

One of her favorite games, she can do it all on her own it's so cute!

Happy Half Birthday to our baby girl

Last week our baby turned 6 months old. I can't believe it. She lights up our lives everyday & I can't imagine life with out her. She is getting smarter and more personality everyday. Its amazing watching her develop and figure things out. She likes to be constantly moving, and held! which sometimes is quite the task. She loves to watch Harley and Herschel and pull on their hair. She loves to bounce, do flips with dad, be tickled, play peek-A-boo, row row your boat, hold food on her own and eat it, sit in her bumbo where ever I am and watch what I am doing. She especially likes to sit with me why I cook and taste test. Mostly she just naws on fruits and veggies right now but she sure would like to have everything. She loves to people watch, but likes them from a distance. Loves to play in her bed & only her bed. Loves stroller rides, hiking, and books. Most the time she's nothing but smiles and giggles! and last but not least she sleeps 11-12 HOURS a night and takes two 2-2.5 hour naps a day! heavenly! She's such a bundle of joy!

Could you just eat her up?! That little smile kills me!

This girl loves to stand and already walk with us! Such a big girl

She might like Har Har a little more than he likes her...

Fist day she sat all on her own! May 14th

She still decides to roll over instead sometimes...

Mom is the HEART of our home.

Grateful to be a mom, and grateful to have such amazing mothers in our life.
Mom is the HEART of our home. Such a true saying, I love this. Tysen and I were both so fortunate to have such amazing moms and someday I hope to be a lot like both of them. They set such a great example to me.
My mom has always been more of a best friend then a mom, and I loved that. She was always their when I need her (like all the time) and will drop anything and everything to help with whatever we need. She's so giving.
Patti is the best mother in law anyone could ever ask for. I remember when we got married so many people that knew her told me that and I now realize how right they were. She makes me feel so apart of the family and so loved.

Happy 24 to me!

Like everyone else I've always loved my birthday. My parents always decorated the kitchen table for us with streamers and balloons and lots of presents. Even though I'm a grown mom, my parents still did it for me and I loved it! Lilah and I woke up and went to book club with the girls then came back to my parents to have a little party with my mom (I couldn't wait for everyone to come home;) ) I put on my new outfit and my mom and I went shopping for the rest of the day. Later Tys met us at City Creek and my mom took little L home to bed. We had so much fun. Tys and I went to my favorite restaurant at Nordstrom's then to my favorite store to pick out a birthday present, and of coarse Shivers shakes on the way home. It was such a perfect day. I was so grateful to my mom and Dyl for spending the day with me and their Friday evening in slc watching Lilah, and Tys was so sweet to let me decide on everything and make a night about us. I'm so lucky! xo

On Saturday Tysen and I had planned to go horse back riding then it came to a halt when our neighbors had a flood. But we still went to my parents and had a birthday party at Blue Lemon and my mom's German Chocolate cake. My favorite! I ate 3 pieces,
woooops!

A few days later, Clements through me a birthday party also. We lots of balloons, my favorite food and some wonderful gifts. They're so good to me.

gluten free goodies

As my friends and family know I've had tummy aches for basically as long as I can remember. After visiting doctor after doctor in high school and trying many different things that failed I finally gave up and realized I just was going to have to suck it up and get over the fact I was going to have tummy aches for ever! many years later I've discovered the problem, finally! Celiac disease! Though it really limits what I can eat I'm very grateful to be able to control it, and I'm sure everyone else is happy to not hear about it anymore (sorry about that). So because I LOVE my sweets I've also discovered a few yummy gluten free recipes to share with my gluten free buddies. Here they are :

Monster Cookies::

1/2 cup butter (softened)
or use apple sauce for a healthier version
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1.5 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2.5 cups old fashioned oats ground to flour
2.5 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter & sugar together.
Beat eggs, peanut butter & vanilla.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined.
scoop onto cookie sheet (I always use the non-stick cookie sheets for Williams Sonoma)
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Enjoy!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Roll::

Prep:
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Generously spray it with non-stick spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, microwave for 2 min:
1 package mini marshmallows – 10.5 oz or 297 grams (appx 6 and 2/3 cups)
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
Stir ingredients and add:
5 1/2 cups Gluten Free Rice Krispies (make sure they are GF, not all are)
Mix well and spread mixture on the greased waxed paper. Coat hands with non-stick spray and flatten out Rice Krispie mix until it is even and compressed. Set aside.
Melt together in microwave, in 20 second intervals:
1 1/3 cup Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup peanut butter chips
Be careful not to overmelt the chips or they will burn.
Spread the melted peanut butter and chocolate onto the rice crispie mixture. Roll the Rice Krispie mixture horizontally into one log–lift the wax paper at one end to help. Refrigerate for appx 30 minutes. Slice and serve.
* Note: I used the remainder of the bag of chips to drizzle over the rolls to make them a little prettier.

I like this

these two...

A little clip of Lilah trying to talk to Har Har.
Excuse the news in the background.

Some throw back shots of them a month ago...

happy 5 months baby girl

I can't believe Lil is 5 months this week. She knows how to roll ALL over in every which direction. Blow bubbles back and forth with you (which is really cute). Laugh, but not quite giggle. Pull off her headbands and suck her thumb. Touch the pictures in her book, the POP out books are here very favorite. Eat on a spoon, and drink out of mommy's water bottle. She has to eat or drink whatever I'm having these days so all day long she stinks out her tongue for more water or tries to steal it from me. Its hysterical. She loves her little bouncer car, though her little legs are not quite long enough to touch the ground so we just roll her around with us and she loves it. She likes to grab Harley's rolls, which luckily he's okay with and gives everyone big slobbery kisses!

sleep deprived

I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was hilarious... for all the other mommies out there ::

hello spring

I just love spring, and even more than that I love when we are all together enjoying it. We really are cherishing our time with dad since school and work are so busy for him right now. We have loved strolling around City Creek with Lilah in her stroller and hanging out on the back deck to do homework and eat together. Dad has been cooking up a storm on the BBQ he got for fathers day last year, and I have been making way too many gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Lilah and I take adventures outside when it's warm enough, I can't wait till she's big enough to swing at the park. I couldn't be happier being able to spend all my days at home with her. I feel so blessed.

a little ice cream never hurt anyone...

After a few sad teary nights of teething I gave into some cold ice cream on that mouth of hers. Needless to say she LOVED it!

a perfect Easter

This year was more special as you can imagine with our little Lilah. It was so fun picking out her bla bla doll, little toys and treats Tys and I could eat for her first Easter basket. Even though I knew she didn't care about the basket yet, it was fun to imagine her playing with the new toys.
Easter morning was beautiful! Tysen and I were out on the back porch eating some breakfast and Patti showed up with a little Easter surprise. It was so fun to have parents again on Easter that take care of you! ha we got the best of both worlds, took care of our babe and were taken care of :).  Tysen got these purple and pink hip dress shoes from Nordstrom's and I got a matching purple cardigan and beautiful white blouse. We also got candy I've been snacking on ever since and Lilah got a darling bracelet, jammies and freshly picked mocs!(cutest little handmade shoes) Later we enjoyed one of Patti's delicious dinners that was so festive with the Clements and some family in town. It was a perfect first Easter together.
My family was in the Philippines picking up my brother Tanner  from his mission (which was REALLY exciting for us) so we celebrated later with them. This last Saturday we attended my grandma & grandpa Moeller's annual money egg hunt. Such a fun tradition to run crazy after money eggs hoping to get 100 dollar bills. We all get a bit competitive. I may or may not have brought flats to run and been first in line - a girl needs to shop, right? well maybe not... but a sure like to! We came out very lucky and both got some splurging moola to come home with. Aside from the wins, it was so great to see family and catch up with everyone. My mom's side is the mormon "Big Fat Greek Wedding" group. They're loud, crazy, funny and my grandpa comes around with silver (ASAP family co) everywhere. It's a riot. Both my grandparents have been hospitalized in the last few months so it really was a blessing to be able to have it this year. I sure love and adore them.

Here are a few photos from Easter

the big four

Four months was a big deal around here... that meant FOOD! At her 4 month apt. the doctor told us it was time to start her on solids and give her tastes of everything we could. She has proven herself to be allergic to quite a few things already and studies show (now days;)) the best thing is to introduce the foods earlier. I was caught by surprise, but excited to get started. We have given her peas, sweet potatoes, pears and banana baby food all of which she kinda liked. Then little bits and pieces of our food. I eat oatmeal every morning and she sticks out her tongue and leans forward in her little bumbo for more. It's so cute, I really love our quiet mornings together. The only food she's really been ecstatic about is chocolate ice cream - go figure! I'll post that video later, it's hysterical.

Here are a few of her four month photos I took...

Goodbye home, welcome Salt Lake City!

As many of our close friends and family know we moved the end February from our "Little Green House". This house Tysen and I bought right before we got married in spring of 2011. We had so many wonderful memories and we started to build a life together in that home. We LOVED our home so much but for some reason it just didn't quite feel right there anymore. We both got the prompting it was time for us to move and one thing led to the next (quickly) and with in a month we picked up and moved to Salt Lake City. Tysen is working on a project for work in Salt Lake, and going to an MBA program just down the road at Westminster. As scary as it was - it's been perfect. We get to see him a lot more and are loving the new surroundings of Salt Lake.

Here are a few photos for keepsake of our "Little Green House"
